IRC Usually intended as a mildly sarcastic indication that the person who is saying it has just heard something ridiculously goth. Originally: The goofy sound that Bela Lugosi made as the bloodthirsty Count in Dracula: ("Vlah! I vant to suck your blood!").

Get the vlah mug.
Serbian/Croatian, n.) - An insulting term for an Aromanian, or a Serb. It is used in the context to those outside of Serbia, seeing them as hillbillies that rake tall grass for hay during the summer and drink Balkan moonshine, otherwise known as rakija, whilst also denoting towards a Serb outside of Serbia that they're not a Serb, because their ancestors may have potentially migrated from modern-day Romania.

Historically, the term was used to describe the Wallachians, who inhabited the autonomous state of Wallachia, which was a federal subject of the Ottoman Empire for some time. Some of those within that state have have chosen to emigrate to other Balkan countries such as Croatia, Bosnia, Serbia, Montenegro, and Kosovo (depending on the perception of the user on whether it is a country or not), mostly due to better opportunities to own land and live off of it.

This user asks those who view this answer to NOT use this word lightly towards anyone in the Balkans.

Vlah is a term that is mostly related to vampires or vampirism. It can also mean something mildly gross or disgusting happening to a person (kind of like blech).
1. Vampire: 'Sup, buddy, I've come to suck your blood.
Buddy: Eat sunlight, you bloodsucker!
Vampire: Vlah!

2. Maria: How are you?
Angus: I'm good, how are... vlah! A bug just flew in my
mouth!
