Simply the best Power Forward to ever play in the NBA. He has Averaged over 20 points every season since a rookie, except for his 05-06 which was his career low. Nobody in the NBA is better at using the backboard to sink his jumpshots and he is probobly the most consistent player at the moment. Retired NBA star Charles Barkly calls tim "Groundhog Day" because of Duncans consistently good games, while arguably the most dominent center to ever play, Shaquille O'Neil, calls Duncan "The Big Fundamentle" for his great all round game.

As soon as Tim Duncan fully recovers from his foot injury, he'll once again have us yawning in sheer amazement.

The best basketball player in this generation; the most excellent basketball player in the world, following the retirement of Michael Jordan; Winner of three more championships than Kevin Garnett, Jermaine O'Neal, Allen Iverson, Amare Stoudemire, and Vince Cater combined.
Wow! People sure do criticize Tim Duncan a lot! With all those criticisms, one would think that whichever player is offered as a better ballplayer than Duncan (i.e. Garnett, O'Neal, Iverson, Stoudemire, Carter) would have won at least ONE championship! But they haven't, because none of them are Tim Duncan.

Tim Duncan is Toronto slang for saying an athlete is overrated. Many Torontonians use using this when discussing overrated basketball players. This slang started when many University of Toronto students were debating many of the most overrated players of all time and many of those students believed that Tim Duncan was overrated. This caused the term to become widespread term across all of the Greater Toronto Area (GTA)

To get something unearned, based on reputation. Like Tim Duncan getting free throws with little or no contact.
