The Climb

A song from the ever so annoying Miley Cyrus. Contrary to popular belief she did not write the song. Jesse Alexander and her partner, John Mabe did. Honestly people, do you think she could write something like that?
Typical teenage girl: "OMG I like totally love Miley Cyrus's song, "The Climb". She is like the best eva cus she wrote it and all like yeah cause Miley Cyrus rocks"

Me (Intelligent Teen): "You see, typical teenage girl, Miley Cyrus did not write that song. It is impossible because Miley Cyrus is a Disney Cookie Cut Out and lacks talent and imagination. Here my child, let me enlighten you."

*Puts on '80s Freestyle Mixed Tape*

Me: "Now you will discover the power of Egyptian Lover, Debbie Deb, Run DMC, LL Cool J, Trinere, The Cover Girls, Lisa Lisa and The Cult Jam, Sheila E, The Fatboys and Noel.

Teenage Girl: "Wow, this sounds like real music! This makes Miley Cyrus and most of new music look like a freaking joke!"

Me: "Yes, you have seen the truth, now for the New Wave tape!"

The Climb

the Climb is the mythical sisiphian journey that people undertake when going through hardsips. the term was revived after a elden ring YouTuber named skumnut used the term when describing the intense pain and agony that comes from playing difficult games such as elden ring. It was also founded by Jared Leto, the funny dude who somehow made one fire song.
random dude: Dawg what the fuck you literally cant dodge that
Friend: Dawg its about The Climb, you gotta believe in Jareds godly power!

worth the climb

Used to describe women with long beautiful legs who stand taller than a lot of men. Popularly used by B-movie queen Julie Strain in reference to her 6'1" height, but can be used for any tall beautiful lady or amazon.
She may be taller than you, but she's worth the climb.
Ash is taller than me when she puts her heels on, but goddammit, she's definitely worth the climb.

climb the corporate ladder

To move up in the hierarchy of a corporation.

A 'ladder' is a device with steps used to 'climb' (or move) up and down, so the 'corporate ladder' is the series of steps people go through as they gain more power in a corporation and 'rise to the top' - from file clerk up to president.
You have to work very hard if you want to climb the corporate ladder.

The Slow Climb

From the cosmo website:

" You'll never see missionary position the same way again. "While on your back, put a pillow under your butt, lift your hips, and bring your legs up and back toward your shoulders, as though you're folding in half," says Solot. This move allows him better ease of thrusting and deeper penetration — a perk for both of you. Plus, it can stimulate your G-spot. But consider this a warm-up — you're getting the zone primed for a more intense orgasm. Once your G-spot feels sufficiently stroked, put your legs down and have him get into coital-alignment-technique (CAT) position. "He's on top, but he lifts his pelvic bone upward, aligning it with your clitoris," says sex therapist Gloria Brame, PhD. "Then he rocks against the area until you peak." "The legs-up position is a slow burn that brings you to the brink and increases sensitivity. Then the addition of clitoral rubbing takes you over the edge in a bigger way than if you had done CAT alone," adds Brame. "

In sales terms, a whale is a prospect that is significantly larger than an organization’s average customer.

Whales are large and extremely difficult to close. Due to their immense size, they are highly sought-after.

A whale is typically identified at first by a whale hunter on the sales team, but often requires cross-discipline participation in order to close; this includes assistance from operations, engineering, creative, client success, and business development teams.
"Shit...the sales director chewed me out on the sales call this morning. He's totally pissed that I have nothing in my pipeline. I've been focused on this one whale for so long that I haven't had time to prospect for normal-sized deals."

God Shot

A chance happening with profound meaning, an unexpected blessing, a "sign".
Dr. Drew on Celebrity Rehab said "All of a sudden what had been just another Hollywood proposal became for him an unexpected blessing, an opportunity for growth. In drug recovery language, that's called a "God shot."
