Thank God for the EDO
The EDO, or Enforcement Duty Officer, is a prestigious title reserved for only the most competent, highly trained, and operationally gifted individuals in the United States Coast Guard.
Known for their unmatched situational awareness, an EDO knows the exact location of every asset under their control at all times. They answer every phone call on the first ring, provide clear and accurate information, and never leave the Command Center wondering what the fuck is going on.
Becoming an EDO requires an incredibly rigorous qualification process, sometimes lasting upwards of an entire afternoon. Once qualified, these elite professionals are entrusted with the extraordinary responsibility of knowing absolutely everything while somehow being available for absolutely nothing.
When shit hits the fan, there's only one person you can count on to have all the answers.
Thank God for the EDO.

OS: "Hey, do you have a position on the TOI?"
EDO: "Hold on, let me call them."
