James Simpleton

One of the main characters in an unknown comic strip called We Are The Bored

Always known to be somewhat sarcastic to his friends and others around him. Despite his last name and it's true meaning, he isn't exactly what you'd call a 'Simpleton' although on certain occasions he has been known to be gullible

Simpler times

Something that people often say when they talk about the past or something in the past, usually a few years back. The good old days when there were fewer things to worry about and less complex technology.
I remember hanging out with my old friends, playing Half-Life on the computer, and when Urban Dictionary was first created, simpler times!

swampled

The state of an employee when the amount of work is greater than the number of hours in the day.
I'm hoping to get these budgets finished on Thursday; right now I'm just swampled and can't get to them.

city chicken

A food native to Pittsburgh/Western Pennsylvania in which cubes of pork and/or veal are put on a short, wooden skewer, breaded, then baked and/or fried.

I've heard that city chicken originated during the Great Depression, when folks didn't have enough money to buy full cuts of meat, so they assembled meat scraps on a wooden skewer, creating a make-shift drumstick. Hence the name.

endwarfins

The rush of neurotransmitters and neuropeptides triggered specifically by watching the Seven Dwarfs march home singing "Heigh-Ho" — that particular high of pickaxes, whistling while you work, and communal domestic bliss in a cottage built for men half your height.
I only meant to watch the Heigh-Ho scene for the endwarfins, and then it was two hours later and I'd watched the whole movie.

Endwarfins aren't just a Snow White thing — I get the same hit off the Lollipop Guild in Oz.
