The phobia of being submerged under water. People with this phobia may not be necessarily fearful of water itself (that phobia is called Aquaphobia), but simply afraid of going underwater.

Submersiphobia 

Submersiphobia refers to an extreme and irrational fear of drowning or being submerged in water. Individuals experiencing submersiphobia often exhibit intense anxiety, panic attacks, and avoidance behaviors related to activities involving water bodies, such as swimming.

Sean's submersiphobia made it challenging for her to enjoy beach vacations with her friends, as the mere thought of entering the water filled her with overwhelming anxiety and fear.
