Spoonfed storytelling
Writing or scripting that feels the incessant need to over-explain everything to the viewer, even obvious things. It's most prevalent in poorly made modern movies from 2000 onward. It implies that studios believe audiences are so dumb that they won't be able to follow a complex story.
Damn, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen was godawful. The special effects were cool but the spoonfed storytelling was insulting.

Done intentionally for the purpose of being rude, or perhaps done by a teacher too lazy to engage his/her students in discussion (by attempting to prevent discussion by leaving no room for speculation). West Midlands slang word for rockers, bikers, greasers etc. In the late 1980s it was used by the UK music press to refer to a specific scene centered around the bands Pop Will Eat Itself and Crazyhead.
