It is a very versatile word that can be used for just about anything in reference to an item or ire that has flared up, i.e. If someone is bugging you.
If you are drinking socially with friends and you knock a drink over at the table.
"Hold your horses" -> "Calm your Horses" -> "Calm your Snitz Ploise!"
"My snitz are flaring" (something is irritating you)
"Snitz baby!" (Stop bugging me)(what ever you are doing is bugging me, flaring my snitz)
