1. A crossover genre. As of 2020, it has been used to describe a mixture of ska, grunge and punk.

2. Term associated with DIY post - 3rd Wave Ska/punk bands particularly from the Northeastern U.S. Unlike their predecessors, these bands rarely have horn sections.
