schluff

verb. to get rid of something undesirable (e.g. a task or object) by placing the responsibility or burden on someone else, usually a tool or a sucker, especially through trickery or manipulation, resulting in lulz. similar to "pawn off," but more casual and fun.

"dude, weren't you carrying the camping tent?"
"nah, i told nate i had to go take a leak and schluffed that heavy fucker off onto him."

"why am i the god damn designated driver tonight?? i need to find a way to schluff this shite off onto someone..."

or

"dude, where's your girlfriend?"
"i got sick of her naggin at me all the time, so i schluffed her off onto some grungy hobo at the gas station"

In trick-based card games, to deliberately lose a high card for strategic reasons. Implies not only getting rid of the card, but underplaying it relative to its potential.

phone schluff

Using the phone and specific words / tones for the sole purpose of helping the person on the other end of the line fall asleep and/or take a nap.

Similar to phone sex, yet with a different desired result.
Often times used after a successful phone sex session

As he laid in bed, she called him and she provided phone schluff -- he was soon fast asleep.
