Schaden-fraud

Anyone who tells you that there is no English word for what the Germans call “schadenfreude”, the deriving of joy, pleasure, or satisfaction from the misfortune or failure of another person.

The word is “Epicaricacy”, but only people who know how to think, use a dictionary or google know it, and know that those who make that claim are lazy fools pretending to be part of an “in-crowd” of dunces.

A Schaden-fraud is typically someone of low intellect, who believes everything they hear.

Man #1: Dude, Mary was feeling some real schadenfreude when her bitch roommate crashed her new Honda on her way to the prom.
Man #2: Hmmph.
Man #1: Um, you do know what schadenfreude means don’t you? It’s a German word and there is no English …
Man #2: It means epicaricacy, and why the hell are you speaking German when you’re Irish and grew up on Long Island, fool?! Look it up, you damn Schaden-fraud!

schadenfreude 

German word, original translation loosely comes out as 'malicious joy'. In English, it's thought of 'malicious enjoyment from the suffering of another'. As there is no succinct English version of the word, English-speaking peoples have approximated this word and use it whenever they see people like corrupt CEOs get dragged off to jail.

Did you see that look on Fastow's face as he was told he couldn't take soap-on-a-rope to the lockup? Man, I felt a warm, comforting sense of schadenfreude in my gut when I saw it...

Schadenfreudegasm 

(n): the climactic pleasure one feels while seeing something terrible happen to another human being. A portmanteu of schadenfreude and orgasm. Particularly exemplified over reviled celebrities.

When LeBron James and the Miami Heat lost the 2011 NBA finals, all of Cleveland reached a schadenfreudegasm.

Schadenfraud 

The malicious joy of watching or hearing about an audacious fraud unravel.

Reading, listening or watching anything to do with Elizabeth Holmes and Theranos gives me such schadenfraud.
The Fyre documentary was pure schadenfraud.

pleasure derived from others' troubles.

although "schadenfreude" seems widely known I've never heard it being used in casual conversation.

Probably it's more the problem of not knowing how to pronounce it. I've heard "skäidenfruhd," for instance :)
