Rockified/Rockify (present tense)

(In music) To turn a song from a genre such as hip-hop, country, disco, etc. into a version that is similar to rock and metal music.
Did you hear about that band, The Burning Polaroids? They rockified that old disco song I Will Survive and it sounded amazing!
