Rain Dancer

Someone who hides their (usually large) pain via comedy, outgoingness, or being extroverted. I.E. Someone who copes by making people laugh. Dancing in the rain can be used as an expression to say that someone is happy when bad things are happening around them.
I'm really worried for Joey, he's a real rain dancer.

Rain Dance

Anal rain dance

A fictional sex act created by Kurt Sutter, who admittedly created this phrase to be used on his show Sons of Anarchy yet get around the censors. Sutter may know it's true meaning since he's the creator but all he will provide as a clue is a tight-lipped "it's not a real thing....I made it up to say on the show and not get it censored."
Anal rain dance is a sexual term used on the show Sons of Anarchy, but showrunner Kurt Sutter says he made it up to avoid censorship.

Some of those porn scenes on Sons of Anarchy look like they're about to lead to an Anal Rain Dance!!

Georgie Caruso ruined Louann Delaney's business and then killed her just after the SOA members got it turned back around to make a profit; I bet no more Anal Rain Dances were filmed in Charming after the club got rid of Georgie!!!

rain dance

A sequence of steps undertaken to achieve a specific outcome without a practical understanding of how the steps bring about that outcome.

Commonly used in computer/technical environments to describe a set of steps that makes "something just work" where the mechanism of that function remains mysterious to the person carrying them out.

Due to the implication of ignorance and the tradition of weather modification rituals among various indigenous peoples, the term is sometimes taken to have racist undertones.
"I figured out yesterday that if I turn on my laptop first, then my monitor, THEN my audio interface, and first log in as a guest before switching to my account, I don't get that nasty crackling in my headphones anymore."

"So you're going to do that whole rain dance every time you start up your computer?"

"Saves me from buying a new one."

Back when I lived in upstate new york

A meaningless, unimpressive, self-serving introduction. An indicator that the story about to be shared will be pointless and dumb.
Back when I lived in upstate new york, I also had to park on the street - on two occasions, we got enough snow, mixed with just the right plowing, that my car was lifted off the ground from so much snow being jammed underneath it.

Sister: This meeting was to discuss the rough draft of my essay, where we discussed the subsidiary questions I added in my rough draft. We also discussed the relationship between my main title and the real-life situations I chose to use in my essay. We discussed the structure of my essay as well, specifically the Math AOK section and how it relates to the contradiction of the title. This second meeting was particularly helpful in discussing the implications of my essay claims and how to apply the title across various areas of knowledge. There were many sections of the essay that could have been cut down in wordiness and the ways of knowing required further and more in-depth analysis.
