gracious professionalism

This term was coined by Professor Woodie Flowers for the FIRST robotics competition. The definition has never been precisely outlined, but it's connotation is widely understood and may be summarized as this: "Competition for the sake not of destroying one another, but for the sake of bettering and improving both competitors as a result of the competition."
Lending a spare part to an opponent in order to keep them from forfeiting a match is a prime example of gracious professionalism.

"We are done professionally."

Used to address the end of the line in an escalated conversation, debate or exchange. A loss of temper or patience is often the catalyst.

Made famous by actor Christian Bale's infamous outburst on the set of Terminator Salvation.
"I think Sarah Palin got a bad rap in the press."

"Are you kidding?"

"Seriously, she's a terrific role model for women."

"We are done professionally."

West Midlands slang word for rockers, bikers, greasers etc. In the late 1980s it was used by the UK music press to refer to a specific scene centered around the bands Pop Will Eat Itself and Crazyhead. The term never found favour with readers of 'the inkies' (Sounds, Melody Maker and the still extant NME) and was soon dropped. Now often used in predominantly working-class areas of the midlands and the north to mean someone who listens to rock-derived music and/or dresses in a manner that suggests they affiliate themselves with rock music of some kind.
