Psychological harm resulting from cumulative exposure to toxic, degrading, or terrorizing narratives, imagery, and norms pervasive in mainstream media, music, film, and advertising. This is not about one scary movie, but the relentless drip-feed of messages that devalue your identity, glorify violence, eroticize abuse, or normalize hopelessness.
