Pepperoni Promise 

A promise that you know will not be kept.

Origin: Running into an old friend at the pizza place after the bar and telling them you would call them sometime, knowing that you have no real intention to do so.

That will never happen; it was a pepperoni promise.

Pepperoni Promise 

When a plan is made after a night of intensive alcohol consumption and has a very low percentage of actually occuring. Called 'Pepperoni' , as this most likely occurs at a pizza place.

EXAMPLE 1:

"Urg, last night I told a guy in my class we should start a study group and be best friends. What a pepperoni promise"

EXAMPLE 2:
"Tomorrow I am going to wake up and be a better person. I am going to take care of myself, do some community service, oh yeah, tomorrow I start my journey!"

Next Day: " Yeah, that was a huge pepperoni promise.. I'm not doing any of that"
