Used often by Marines, as a noun, in reference to individuals that do not meet Marine Corp standards. Generally in reference to physical fitness or appearance.

Nasties
"Nasties" was a term coined in the United Kingdom in the 1980s that originally applied to a number of films distributed on video cassette that were criticized for their violent content by various religious organizations.
There was little rhyme or reason behind these seizures, movies were taken from video shops in one county that were left on the shelf in adjacent counties. Alongside those movies that would eventually be identified as the nasties.
