Na-ption

Pronunciation: /nop-shun/
A playful mashup of the words "Non-alcoholic" (NA) and "Option" describing an alternative choice of words that rolls off the tongue easier while ordering at a bar or restaurant. Asking a bartender what their "Na-ptions" are creates a more casual and playful way to order a Non-Alcoholic drink without actually saying the words "Non-Alcoholic Options". Using the term "Na-ptions" lowers the chance of too much unwanted attention in the establishment and avoids the stigma of being one of the only "Non-Drinkers" in the establishment. Choices of Na-ptions can be a non-alcoholic beer or a variety of Mocktail-Looking drinks that have the appearance of regular Alcoholic drinks.
"Hello Bartender! What are your Na-ptions tonight?"
"I have work in the morning and I gotta drive home. I'll stick with a Na-ption tonight if we go out."
"Steve thought ordering a Na-ption was a buzzkill, but once he tasted the virgin piña colada, he realized it was a non-stop tropical vacation for his taste buds."
"Ryans's Na-ption for the evening was a mocktail that looked so convincing, even his friends were tempted to try it instead of their usual cocktails."
