Get the NVCmug. The "normal language" use of Nonviolent Communication (NVC or Compassionate Communication), intentionally avoiding NVC lingo or phrases that might sound strange or awkward to the listener. NVC's inventor, Marshall Rosenberg, calls it "street NVC."
At work, I use stealth NVC so my co-workers aren't distracted from our conversation by NVC lingo that's unfamiliar to them.
