Acronym for Ministry Of
Fear And Division, referring to
government funded, mainstream media outlets, that make a point of including or perpetuating a minimum level of public
fear and/or polarization in every one of their "news" articles, usually with not-so-subtle language manipulation, one-sided commentary and semantics.
Person 1:
"Wow, that news article sure did make this current situation seem pretty dire. It's getting harder all the
time to find any
hope at all these days, isn'
t it?"
Person 2:
"Yeah, well, as long as you're only getting your news from the MOFAD, then, yeah, I guess everything looks pretty bleak, for sure. Things really aren't that bad though."
