MOFAD
Acronym for Ministry Of Fear And Division, referring to government funded, mainstream media outlets, that make a point of including or perpetuating a minimum level of public fear and/or polarization in every one of their "news" articles, usually with not-so-subtle language manipulation, one-sided commentary and semantics.

"Wow, that news article sure did make this current situation seem pretty dire. It's getting harder all the time to find any hope at all these days, isn't it?"

"Yeah, well, as long as you're only getting your news from the MOFAD, then, yeah, I guess everything looks pretty bleak, for sure. Things really aren't that bad though."
