Mariupol

In 2022, Mariupol was besieged and completely destroyed by Russian forces in a brutal three month long siege. The Russians committed a slew of horrific war crimes such as bombing a theater sheltering children in the siege of Mariupol that have caused international repulsion. Over 22,000 Ukrainians were killed in Mariupol during the siege, and thousands fled the city.
