Light Comcyberite

Comcyberites who do not engage in clearly illegal activities but still participate in questionable, often hypocritical, behaviors. This category includes “debunkers” who harass spiritual or alternative communities, “science communicators” who dogpile laypeople for honest questions, “digital influencers” who orchestrate cancellation campaigns, and “streamers” who send their audiences to attack critics. Light comcyberites operate in plain sight, often with large followings, using the cover of “accountability” or “education” to justify mob tactics. They rarely face consequences because their actions stay within platform rules, but the cumulative effect is a culture of fear and silence.

Example: “The science YouTuber didn’t doxx anyone, but he posted the critic’s channel link and said ‘go have a discussion’—knowing his fans would turn into a light comcyberite mob.”
