Lanyard

A center-lefty technocrat type who doesn't understand how human beings actually function. A reference to the ID lanyards for conventions and campaigns such types tend to collect as they throw their energy into the campaigns and staffs of people who don't care about them. A couple of lanyards came to the DSA meeting and tried to tone police us, but one of the guys got them off in a corner discussing local tax credits for private religious schools, and that kept them busy until we got some real work done.

Lavar ball is a loud mouth fat man who thinks he would destroy Michael Jordan in a 1v1. His sons lonzo, liangelo, and lamelo are probably the most Unorthodoxed basketball players of all time, but somehow they are very good. Lavar ball takes full responsibility of this. Claims to be the best basketball player of all time. Averaged 2.2 points per game in college, claims oldest son lonzo is better than 2 time MVP Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors. Wants to play Hall of famer Charles Barkley, then tells him to stay behind his desk at TNT and eat donuts. Claims his son lamelo is better than Jesus Christ at basketball.

Lavarian Barrel Roll

A theatre term: An insertion of a small prop during a scene involving some kind of roll to stay out of view of the audience. Said roll does not have to be a barrel roll, but most usually is. Usually referred to by acronym; LBR
