LARPover is the physical and mental exhaustion experienced the following day by those who participate in Live Action Role Playing (LARP) games.
It is caused by a combination of social overstimulation, lack of sleep, and having taken oneself out of their normal brain space to embody the personality of their character for a prolonged period of time.
The physical sensation is similar to that of a hangover, though it is not necessary for alcohol consumption to have occurred. It is characterized by fatigue, brain fog, sore muscles, headaches, and aversions to bright lights and loud sounds.
Treatment for LARPover includes pain relievers (such as aspirin), lots of water, and caffeine. Comfort can also be found by social seclusion in a quiet, dimly lit space.
