A hand gesture characterized by an individual forming a closed fist with one hand and extending the index finger to the proximal interphalangeal joint only. The joint should be flexed so the distal phalange points inward toward the palm.
The gesture is executed when two participants each form this fist and lightly tap their PIP joints together.
Often initiated by one person doing or saying something really cool and the other person recognizing and respecting that action by holding up their fist as described above and saying "knuck".

A small woodland creature in the shrew family. Many species exist, but the most common form, Grenicus albicans, was first discovered in India in the early 1700's. They are solitary by nature, but may be seen traveling in packs during the breeding season. Lately, they have become the rage of modern gangster rap music, possible because of their Tupacian nature.
One example of Grenicus albicans (Knuck to the lay person) has been discovered in Northern America, but it is believed to have been shipped in from India on a cargo boat. When captured, it screamed "WEST-SIDE IS THE BEST SIDE ALL YOU BITCH-AZZ PLAYA-HATIN' WANNA BE ME AZZ HOES"
