Kasom/Kasmi

A term meaning “oath,” used in the sense of swearing truthfulness, similar to expressions such as “say on Allah” or “wallahi.” It derives from South Asian languages (Bengali, Hindi, Urdu) and is commonly used among South Asian communities in London, as well as within Multicultural London English (MLE).
