Interzoomorphism

A writing technique consisting of giving one species of animal either the characteristics or behaviour of another species.

"I was unfazed by Jane's cat, instead focused (as much as I wished I wasn't) on the smell brought by cans of cooked tuna that this mutt had inflicted upon every bin in the house."

In this page, the author involved an application of interzoomorphism, their unfavourable attitude towards the smell of the place bringing forth a comparison to the cat's livelihood to that of a dog.
