Just add a bit of exposure, like a viral moment on YouTube or a talent show appearance, reality TV, and suddenly they’re famous. And on the darker side, high‑profile criminals —murderers, rapists, cannibals etc.
Everyone who knew Jeffrey Dahmer though he was just a normal, everyday, boring guy working in a chocolate factory, and then once the police caught him and his heinous crimes were exposed, he became an overnight instant celebrity with books and movies made about him.
