Hoccolino is slang term which has started growing in Ottawa as of november. it is used as a nickname, like dude or bro.
it can also be used with some shorter terms like "hoc" and "lino"

"hey hoc, you catch the game last night?" "how's going, hoccolino?" "what's up lino?"
