And instead they often associate the stimulation and feeling of sex as well as the praise from the caretaker as gratifying because these are the only times the caretaker will ever show any positive emotions towards the victim. This will in return cause the intellectually disabled person to wish for more praise after the overseer is no longer cheerful anymore from the last achievement. And now the cycle will repeat in the form of rewarding behavior for every sexual conquest. If you imagine giving a dog a snack for waiting until the appropriate time to urinate outside.
