Harrisment

The act of planning (sometimes for months) with a group of friends to attend a specific activity or event, then the day of said event, cancelling to attend another activity or event. Usually the person Harrising out, utilizes a shitty lie to notify his friends of the cancellation. The now victimized group of friends almost always recognizes the act of Harrisment, due to the very frequent, over-utilization of such by a single person.

(Group of Friends plans to attend a fishing trip for months)

(Night before via group text)

MILLER: "Bros... I'm sorry I can't make it to our fishing trip tomorrow. I wasn't able to get time-off with work."

(Other Friends on fishing trip notice Millers's wife post on Facebook saying that they went gambling, confirming that he was indeed able to get off of work)

GROUP OF FREINDS: Dude.... Looks like he Harrised out again............

Commitment harassment

A form of social pressure that attempts to shame a person into abandoning a lifestyle that is happy and free. It is often done in a non-confrontational (but sneaky) way, such as asking someone who is divorced and not currently engaged, "So, WHEN are you getting married again?"

What do you mean, "WHEN am I getting married again?" I already did my time. Come on now, isn't it time to stop commitment harassment of happy people?
