When taking a photo, the person will have one arm out while the other holds the phone above the head facing the body, Showing you’re open for a hug.

It’s a sign of feeling Alone, Depressed or you just need a hug from anyone who will give you one.

The act of going in sideways, and putting one arm around another person. It's "half a hug", it's awkward, and it basically says "I don't know how I feel about you."

I hadn't seen Julie in months. I was a little pissed of when she only gave me an awkward half-hug.
