Friend Gay

When your friend preference is only for your own self-identified gender.
When I say it is going to be just me and the boys.. that's like... always true... I'm friend gay. You're a real sweet lady. But...
Words you can keep

Sassy Gay Friend

Sassy gay friends are really good at preventing women from making dumb decisions, typically when it involves men and relationships. They excel at this because they have the reasonable intellect of a male combined with the emotional drive of a woman. This bridging gap can also work the reverse way by helping men make better decisions with women.

The Sassy Gay Friend was made popular by the popular Second City Network skit found on YouTube.
Ted: I was almost going to get with Steph, but fortunately my sassy gay friend knew from the drink she ordered that she had herpes and stopped me. Close one!

Alice: I was going to call Karl, but Alejandro, my sassy gay friend, told me to give up.

Non-Gay-Gay-Friend

(NGGF) A friend who is not gay, but acts like the gay friend that every girl wants. He goes for coffee with you, sits and listens intently to all of your problems for hours on end (especially guy problems). He offers advice from a guy's perspective and tries to make sense of the way guys' minds work. He is the ultimate guy friend who will always be there for you. Because they are not gay, it is possible to hook up with NGGFs, but it complicates things because you are simply such good friends and know absoluetly every detail about each other's sexual lives. You should however reserve these guys as a back-up plan if you don't get married by the age of...say 40. NGGFs are so much fun to be around. They also tend to be very good looking, but unfortunately, they are quite rare.
I met my non-gay-gay-friend at starbucks yesterday. We chatted for 3 hours then went for a walk in a ravine.

gay friend

An insult, although not meant to disparage actual gay people. It is a pheneomenon in which a heterosexual man unsuccessfully attempts to woo a woman and winds up being an intimate but wholly platonic friend instead. The man naively believes that if he just sticks around long enough, and shows the woman his sincerity, a romantic relationship will eventually develop. In actuality, this will never, ever happen. Hence the man is the "de-facto gay friend." One can also be a "post-relationship gay friend." In this situation, a romantic relationship ends, but the woman says, "let's be friends; I still want you to be my best friend." The man, somewhat pathetically, agrees to this proposal because of confusion, cowardice, or simple foolishness.
Don't be the gay friend, dude, because she's not really interested.

Designated Gay Friend

When lacking in a gay friend; the chosen selected male to fill this void in a group of females. This male will rarely accept his role as the gay friend whose responsibilities include fashion consult and drama queen, so it is necessary to keep their designation as a personal joke for as long as possible. Once the cat is out of the bag, tell them they are allowed in dressing rooms, cause, well, they're gay! *wink*
Designated Gay friend's role

Girls: "*insert name*, does this look ok?"
DGF: "How should i know?"
Girls: *glare*
DGF: "Well, actually the teal would go so much better with your complexion..."

Gay-friend-inosis

The phenomenon of your wrist becoming "limper" When you hang out with your gay friend "to much"
Man I was hanging out with Logan an now I have Gay-friend-inosis.

Non-Threatening Gay Friend

Non-Threatening Gay Friend is akin to a Gay Buddy, sometimes shortened to NTGF. A girl has no qualms about being around a Non-Threatening Gay Friend; he is, after all, non-threatening.
"Man, Jack's been hanging with Emily all night! Is he coming onto her?"
"No, he's just her Non-Threatening Gay Friend. They're discussing prom dresses."

Sister: This meeting was to discuss the rough draft of my essay, where we discussed the subsidiary questions I added in my rough draft. We also discussed the relationship between my main title and the real-life situations I chose to use in my essay. We discussed the structure of my essay as well, specifically the Math AOK section and how it relates to the contradiction of the title. This second meeting was particularly helpful in discussing the implications of my essay claims and how to apply the title across various areas of knowledge. There were many sections of the essay that could have been cut down in wordiness and the ways of knowing required further and more in-depth analysis.
