Most of the ladies on pregnancy message boards consider FRERs to be the gold standard. I had been testing and getting negatives on tests from earlypregnancytest.com, but got a visible positive with a FRER.

Hi shippers, anti-shippers, and confused parents/non-emo friends. You’re probably looking for the definition of Frerard right now because you want to find other shippers, want to prove that Frerard never existed, or want to understand your child/friend better. Allow me to explain:

Frerard is the homosexual ship, or pairing, of two people who used to associate with a band named My Chemical Romance, or MCR for short. The name, as my autocorrect is reminding me, is not a real word in the English dictionary, but the names Gerard Way and Frank Iero pushed together into one word.

Was it ever canon? We’ll never really know, but there have been plenty of moments recorded and posted onto the internet of Gerard kissing Frank in the middle of a concert or Frank flirting with Gerard during an interview. Either way (haha, ‘way’), both Frank and Gerard are married to different people and have children of their own, so forcing the ship onto them and trying to prove that it is/was “real” would be pretty rude of us. That being said, please continue making your fanfic/fanart. I enjoy seeing it.

(P.S., thank you for reading this definition. I’m surprised you read the whole thing and scrolled down to the bottom because there’s probably a definition that has more upvotes than this one.)

Gerard Way and Frank Iero showing a love for each other that is a little more than friendship. During concerts, Frank and Gerard frequently hug and kiss each other. The first Frerard glimpse was in the music video I'm not okay, when Frank kisses Gerard on the cheek. Shame they're both married...

Frerard is a noun used to describe a pairing of Frank Iero and Gerard Way. Usually, this term relates to slash (homosexual) fanfiction prose or poetry, but can apply to any fan-made creation, such as video tributes, pictures and slideshows, drawings, etc.

Frerard supporters believe that Mr. Iero and Mr. Way have harbored secret feelings for eachother but have done very little to hide their passions. The most classic example of their beliefs is a moment in the music video "I'm Not Okay (I Promise)," where Frank kisses Gerard on the cheek.

Anti-Frerardists believe the two have a mutual, brotherly love that has no sexual desire or romantic intention. Evidence to support this fact includes a segment from an interview, in which Frank states his opinion of MCR fanfiction by explaining that despite its good-natured creativity, he would prefer it if fans would "stop making us have sex with eachother."

Most Frerard fanfiction is rated NC-17 for explicit content.
