The term used to describe the condition, whereby one experiences the sensation of falling suddenly, akin to falling back on a chair, as a result of nearly drifting off to sleep but waking abruptly.

A condition where one experiences a sudden feeling of falling and shock, akin to falling back on a chair, caused be nearly drifting off to sleep but waking abruptly...like they used in Inception (the kick)
