I was composing a correspondence to Brian Chesky to request the reinstatement of my five-star Superhost status following a 16-month suspension due to Hurricane Ian. In my search for a synonym for ‘esteemed,’ I found ‘regard’ to lack a certain elegance. Thus, I propose ‘estemere’—a blend of ‘esteem’ and ‘mere,’ signifying ‘pure’ or ‘unadulterated.’ This term exudes a sense of luxury and could be employed to denote something that is highly esteemed and embodies the highest standard of excellence.
