The eskimo shuffle refers to an iconic dance move in eskimo culture during the late 1700's. Eskimos would freeze their hands together behind their back and would chase after penguins in what was considered the antartic's first push towards global sporting recognition with their proposal to the olympic games getting rejected under the claims that it was more of a dance and less of a sport. The eskimo's, obviously distraught over the sheer lack of respect to their culture banded together and set out to destroy their fierce rivals at the time. The Jamaican jig had a much wider spread of influence and mass appeal to those with restricted access to penguins and was their number 1 competition in achieving global recognition through the eskimo shuffle.
