Poor quality coffee, usually dispensed from an automatic coffee pot or convenience store.

I don't have time to go to the coffee shop this morning, I'm just going to drink some of that donkey water in the break room.
I don't need fancy coffee- I'm used to that donkey water they served me in the Army.

The water left over in the pot after boiling hot dogs. Generally discarded, but sometimes consumed as a beverage over ice.

"Damn, I left the donkey water in the pot until it separated."
