3. the process of discussion by which consensus, wisdom, and truth are reached in a collective fashion

The American legislature is supposed to have a deliberative process whereby law-making is slow because of the time it takes to determine the best policy and build a consensus in its favor.

Deliberatist

Someone who is very intentional about their possessions and aesthetic; a step up from minimalism and several steps down from excess.

Most items belonging to a deliberatist are chosen/kept because they meet at least two of the following criteria: form, function, and meaning.

As an artist, it’s hard for Leila to qualify as a minimalist; I would instead describe her as a deliberatist.
