In America this means terminating anyone and everyone for their own personal security, even if it meant the entire world would be destroyed. It's also common to attack weak countries that could possibly stand up against them in certain ways, or for national benefit.

And then call it "Defending"

This can also be described as: "Fighting for peace" or more correctly "Fighting for our peace, screw everyone else"

Let's attack iraq and take their oil, it could be to our benefit in the long run. While saying it's to defend our country.

This is correct yet egoistic.

Defend pop punk 

The slogan for the band Man Overboard.

Started out as a joke from this band called The Effort. They had the exact same logo and slogan except it was "Destroy Pop Punk." Man Overboard jokingly turned it into Defend instead and now it's a warcry for kids who love pop punk everywhere.

To defend the Volga River, usually used in games where you are heavily outnumbered or/and outgunned, but continue to defend a critical point/ chokehold for if that falls, you lose. Can be shouted, along with the term "Not one step back!" and "Traitors will be shot"
