The state of a joke's punchline where the audience knows it's not funny, thus refuses to laugh. Can be applied to an actual comedian or a stand up performance.

I noticed this date was going nowhere when this guy kept proving how comediocre he actually is.

Cediocre

This word literally means the same as Mediocre, but this time with a C instead of a M for all the people who want to make a Tierlist with the A-F format but instead with actual words with the A-F format letters at the beginning but need a C word that isn't just Common.

Person 1: Damn, I am trying to make a tierlist with A to F words and I just can't find a word for C!
Person 2: Well, heres a crappy solution: Cediocre! No purpose besides these gosh dang tierlists.
Person 1: Thanks so much, now I can make my own tierlist on (insert franchise here)

comediocrity

A combination of the words 'comedy' and 'mediocrity'.

A word describing the growing tendency for industries and individuals to reproduce acts and works of comedy whose content consists exclusively of commonly known stereotypes and trends (generally in an effort to cater to as broad an audience as possible).

"This comedy is really mediocre and unimaginative, but I see that over a million people have watched this and over 90 000 have liked it. One more win for comediocrity."
