1. The waters used to desalt codfish during it's preparation. Codfish should be immerse in cold water, in the proportions of 2/3 water to 1/3 codfish, during several hours. The water should be renewed every 6-8 hours.

2. Forgotten; to remain the same, stalled; a situation or plan that didn't progress.
