Cheese Throat 

A filmy buildup in the throat from substances such as mucus, or more commonly thick, liquid foods such as queso, that makes it difficult to speak properly without first clearing one's throat.

Jim took a moment to clear his throat before speaking, as the casserole he was eating gave him cheese throat.

"Throat cheese" is a slang term for tonsilloliths (also known as tonsil stones) which are clusters of calcareous matter that form in the crevasses of the tonsils (tonsillar crypts). They typically are the consistency of a soft cheese (hence the slang name), can range up to the size of a peppercorn, and are white/cream color. The main substance is mostly collagen, but they have a strong unpleasant odor because of hydrogen sulfide, methyl mercaptan and other substances.

The hard bits of phlegm that randomly come out of your throat sometimes, they smell revolting.

It's like bad breath in a hard form.
