Catch-42 

A catch-42 means to think the unthinkable, make the impossible possible, or turn a seemingly hopeless or paradoxical situation into a solvable problem. The result is a groundbreaking realization that takes us beyond our imagination and fundamentally changes our way of life and view of the universe.

Newton’s law of universal gravitation or Einstein’s theory of relativity are prime examples of catch-42s.

This morning I woke up and had catch-42. Now I know how to make a Quantum Computer work.

Catch-420 

A stoner conundrum. Also known as a cannanundrum.

Examples of catch-420s:

When you're too sober, but you can't smoke the last of your weed because if you do you'll be too high to drive to the weed store.

When your buddy shows up to smoke you out but you're already so high it's like coals to Newcastle.

When you know there's a special at the Old Country Buffet but you're too high to remember where it is.

"Oh, man... I know the Old Country Buffet is around here somewhere, but I don't know where and I left my phone at home... this is a catch-420! How the hell are we ever gonna find it?"
