Any person that has ancestry originating in the Iberic region of Catalonia and speaks Catalan.

They're known to be fierce defenders of their opinion, their culture, being just a tad stingy, and (only some of them) their wish to free their homeland from Spain.

They can be seen anywhere in the globe as tourists (there's 1 in a 342 chance of a tourist being a catalan) or hard working immigrants, but their natural habitat is Catalonia.

Dude, everywhere I go, I we've met at least one catalan!
Even to that trip to Iceland?
I saw no less than 3!

A human individual, originating from any place that is not Spain. It is usually wearing Harry Potter-like glasses, an oversized jacket, second hand jeans and boots. Their favorite activity consist of talking trash about Spain, split bills in individual parts, and recycling nearly everything they find.

Catalan-ed

Just about as equivalent as a "cause i said so". This will usually happen when your attempting to do something and any person that is above you will just shit on your life on anything you try to do ever. This is usually backed up with a BIG bowl of bullshit.

Teacher: "Alright class we will be having a new seating chart"
You: "Can i sit in the back"
Teacher: "No you cant."
You: Why Not?
Teacher: "Cause I have seen you mess around a lot."
You: When?
Friend: "Don't fight it, you have just got catalan-ed."

Catalina

Catalina. A girl with a heart too big for measurement. You’ll find yourself realizing how fortunate you are to have them in your life. They go out of their way and do anything to make sure you’re happy. They will share with you anything that makes them laugh for the chance to make you laugh as-well. They’re super smart and usually have plenty of talents to show, whether it’s a sport, or an instrument, etc. They’re amazing friends. They stay true to you and will defend you at any cost. They will notice instantly if you’re upset and put your happiness before theirs. Her smile is heart-melting and her laugh is super contagious. Whenever you leave their presence, you can really feel the amount of life leave with them and you’ll instantly try to make up for the lost presence by trying to call or message her. Catalina is a girl that makes you realize how amazing life is, and how every day prior to meeting her, seemed like a day wasted. Catalina is someone who makes the world a better place just by being herself, and she doesn’t even realize how lucky we are to have her.
