anti-fan

Any fangirl/boy who purports to be a fan but who is actually engaged in dissing down, covertly or overtly, the object of a fandom, often for hidden agendas of their own; any fan who approaches their fan subject from the viewpoint of hiding their criticism under a false facade of appreciation; anyone offering veiled criticism as 'friendly' advice; anyone offering unwanted critiques, analysis or opinions which are thinly or poorly-veiled attacks or backstabbing. Anti-fans often purposefully start flame wars. Key style of an anti-fan is to appear reasonable and concerned at all times, often quoting dubious "sources" in their arguments.

Some alleged fans on the Britney Spears discussion board are more in the nature of anti-fans, with barely concealed gloating over her rehab - "I'm a big fan and feel really sorry for the girl, but she's losing it. She craves the attention but then comes crying when the paparazzi hound her. I wish I had photographers chasing me. LOL!"

A person who is not a fan of something, but can't help but be drawn to the subject. One who hates a band, form of music, movie, or movie series, politician, political party, car, TV series etc. so much that he/she likes to hate it. An anti-fan is very knowledgeable about the subject they love to diss.

Dude, Jeramy is such an anti-fan of saw, he owns all the DVDs and can't wait for Saw IV.

Mandy is such a Green Day anti-fan so much that she goes to their shows just to boo them.

Anti-Fandom

A large group, usually consisting of edgy teenagers and jobless adults, hellbent on taking time out of their lives to diss other fandoms for a number of reason specific to the individual. Yet usually revolves around a single ignorant motivation for doing so. Anti-Fandoms instantly brand people associated with the fandom they are attacking, and believe they are much more mature for disliking a traditional community; however, they come across very childish nowadays.

(It's sad to be so triggered by an association that won't do anything to you if you stay out of their business.)
