anironic 

Ironic is something is that is opposite of what you would expect. In contrast, anironic is something that is EXACTLY what you would expect. However, it has to be for a reason that doesn't really make sense (otherwise it would be the same as 'fitting'). For example - if you painted flames on the side of your car and then it caught fire (in contrast, it would be ironic if everything around it caught fire but it was unburned).

Steve named his daughter Chastity... then she grew up to be a nun... Well, that was anironic.

Due to it's complete and utter lack of coherence, and therefore high comedic potential, /v/irgins jumped on it and began to spread it across the rest of 4chan and Youtube. Annyong
