An animal-like robot; a machine or man-made automaton that resembles and acts like an animal of a specific type or species. Compare to Android.

The term originated during the making of the sci-fi/cyberpunk film "Blade Runner" to describe the artificially created animals bought and sold as pets and status symbols.

AnimAIDS

A mental illness of someone who’s a terminally online shutin weaboo that disassociates herself/himself from non-weaboo friends of theirs they’ve known for decade(s) thus leaving said friends in a state of alienation of why they’re ignored and ghosted because of how much they’ve got their head engulfed in the anime clouds and community.
Person A: Why are Eric, Michael, and Allen ignoring you whenever you try to reach out to them but replies to everybody else that happens to have an anime profile pic?

Person B that’s being ignored and neglected: I don’t know. They got nothing to hide if they’re truly are not disconcerted with me. Then again, they’re the ones with animAIDS, so who really knows?

Person A: Wanna go to see Symphony X instead of wasting data and oxygen on those shutins?

Person B: Hell yeah, brother! Let’s Metal it up! Circus Maximus is going to be badass opening up!

Back when I lived in upstate new york

A meaningless, unimpressive, self-serving introduction. An indicator that the story about to be shared will be pointless and dumb.
Back when I lived in upstate new york, I also had to park on the street - on two occasions, we got enough snow, mixed with just the right plowing, that my car was lifted off the ground from so much snow being jammed underneath it.

Sister: This meeting was to discuss the rough draft of my essay, where we discussed the subsidiary questions I added in my rough draft. We also discussed the relationship between my main title and the real-life situations I chose to use in my essay. We discussed the structure of my essay as well, specifically the Math AOK section and how it relates to the contradiction of the title. This second meeting was particularly helpful in discussing the implications of my essay claims and how to apply the title across various areas of knowledge. There were many sections of the essay that could have been cut down in wordiness and the ways of knowing required further and more in-depth analysis.
