Alililili, best described in English as 'ululation.' It is a Sesotho or Setswana or Sepedi form of a long, wavering, high-pitched vocal sound
representing trills of joy. It is produced by emitting a high-pitched loud voice accompanied by a rapid
back and forth movement of the tongue. Persons would say it in
celebration of an achievement or wedding ceremony. There is no confirmation as to how many "li" one needs to add as its said recurringly.
